The Cinque Collective is the result of a fresh approach towards collecting. I am a young art enthusiast. The Collective began as an extension of my own collection, and consequently is deeply rooted in a sense of approachable collecting. It has since its beginning grown into a collective of collections, a platform for collectors to buy and sell artworks in a brokerage setting. As a product of the early 90’s my eyes have always been attracted to Diamond Skulls and Naughty Nurses. Such artworks and their artists have encouraged the genesis of the Collective. My current focus is on the art of the “now”, the gritty, the satirical, the political, the fun. A reflection of the new with homage to the old. Art that operates outside the contemporary “white cube” of high art – versatile art that can perform on a gallery wall just as easily as it could on pavement or a sidewalk.
