The newest series from Mr Brainwash and his Los Angeles’s Wonderful World Studio – SHOE. Before dedicating his life to street art, back when Mr Brainwash was known only as Thierry Guetta, he used to own a vintage clothing store that sold such items as the Nike runners pictured in this series. However the shoes featured in these editions are not in any sort of condition to be a part of a store’s footwear inventory. These are the shoes of an artist. They are a testament to Mr Brainwash’s artistic endeavor. The old idiom about getting your hands dirty is retold through a pair of paint covered sneakers. What one would consider the destruction of such shoes, becomes a barometer for the creation of the art.

This series pictures a shoe that has been taken over by paint, representing MBW’s absorption into the world of art.

The series is made up of 10 different color editions, each produced in different quantities. The distribution is as follows: Gold -3, Silver -5, Pink -6, Black -7, Light Blue -7, White -7, Red -10, Yellow -10, Green -10, Blue -10

Silkscreen print on archival art paper. Each print is handfinished with a variety of different colored acrylic paints and stenciled spray paint.

Signed and Numberd by Mr Brainwash, with a thumb print on back.  The artist describes each print as unique.
