BLACKED EYED PEAS: “Light Up The Night” Music Video Incorporates Shepard Fairey and Space Invader

The art of Shepard Fairey and Space Invader finds the Black Eyed Peas. The Black Eyes Peas’ new song “Light Up The Night” the digital music video features urban walls and sidewalks adorned with art of Shepard Fairey and Space Invader. Shepard Fairey is represented in the video’s very beginning by three  of his OBEY faces. Throughout the video Space Invader’s iconic invasion creatures pop up in neon colors.

1 Minute 57 Seconds into the video the song and the digitized lyrics arrive at a wall covered in Fairey artworks. The Shepard Fairey mural consists of pieces like “Make Art Not War”, “Guns and Roses”, “Peace Guard”, and a selection of Mandala ornaments/patterns.

The pairing of Fairey and Invader with the music of Black Eyed Peas is great progression for street art into the publics’ perspective.
