KAWS: October Visit to Hong Kong

Harbour City, Hong Kong: In celebration of the opening of the Hong Kong’s luxury shopping mall, New Jersey born KAWS has put together some new site-specific works. The body of artworks titled “Passing Through” play between concepts of  toys and high art. The collection is crowned by a massive KAWS Companion figure. The below images document the genesis of the mammoth piece. The full  exhibition which will open the general public tomorrow October 24th. There will a thorough selection of works ranging from his iconic Chums, Tweetie toys to Pinocchio and much more. Furthermore Harbour City got some nice Kaws wall decoration and paintings have also been created specifically for the occasion.
