Back in June of this summer Paris based auction house Cornette de Saint Cyr sold a work by Mr Brainwash titled “Life is Beautiful”. This 2011 canvas by Mr Brainwash incorporates a number of the artist’s favorite “icons” from Madonna to President John F. Kennedy to Disney’s Mickey Mouse. This Mr Brainwash canvas estimated at 25-30,000EURO (34-41,000.USD) sold for 57,500.EURO (80,000.USD). This was the first auction for Mr Brainwash in his home country of France and it would appear that he was welcomed back with this art sale. Mr Brainwash created this piece using a number of mediums and techniques including screen printing, spray paint, acrylic paint, stenciling, and collage. Mr Brainwash “Life is Beaitufil” (2011) measures 64 x 48 inches / 162.5 x 122 cm. This art sale at auction result continues to consumate Mr Brainwash’s place in the art market, on an international level.
