It is hard to question that this new work by Mr Brainwash has something to do with Exit Through the Gift Shop being nominated for an Oscar. The documentary created by Mr Brainwash and Banksy has been chosen as one of the best documentary films of 2010 by the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AAMPAS) and is up for an Oscar. To celebrate this cinematic honor Mr Brainwash has adorned the facade of his Los Angles studio with a new work. Mr Brainwash plays with the idea of the red carpet and the image of the gold academy award, interpreting the ceremony through street art scope. For those of you in LA the piece is on La Brea at San Vicente. Good luck to Mr Brainwash and Banksy – go get an Academy Award.
