SHEPARD FAIREY DESIGNS 2010 GRAMMY AWARDS ARTWORK

SHEPARD FAIREY: Shepard Fairey was selected to be this  years official artist for the Grammy Music Awards. Fairey has approached the award ceremony’s traditional image of the phonograph / gramophone with a true OBEY street art style. The phonograph was the first device for recording and replacing music, hence its role in a ceremony that annually acknowledges the best musicians and recordings. Fairey gives the piece  very political feeling, attributed to the power of music and its content over listeners. A great piece from Shepard Fairey and a great accolade for Shepard Fairey.
