Follow Your Dreams (Pink) by Mr Brainwash was released by the artist in December 2011 as his annual Toys For Tots charity edition. In the spirit of the holidays Mr Brainwash and his studio donated a portion of the sales from this edition to the organization.

Mr Brainwash’s Follow Your Dream series consists of a total of 250 pieces in 5 different colors. Mr Brainwash created each of the 5 Follow Your Dream color variants (Red, Yellow, Pink, Blue, Green) in editions of 50.

KAWS Largest Exhibition: High Museum of Art Atlanta

This month KAWS will open his largest museum exhibition to date at Atlanta’s High Museum of Art. KAWS’s show entitled “Down Time” opens on February 18th and runs until May 20th. KAWS will be presenting Atlanta and the High Museum with two massive murals, one 22 foot high, site specific painting and another 24 foot triptych.

“Down Time” at the High will also have 3 new works by KAWS on view, including a grid of 27 circular paintings as well as a collaborative project  between KAWS and British photographer David Sims.

In this video interview Mr Brainwash discusses his most recent exhibition titled “Art Show 2011″ in Los Angeles, California. This is the Mr Brainwash’s first major exhibition in Los Angeles since his celebrated “Life is Beautiful” exhibition in 2008 that was featured in the artist’s documentary, “Exit Through the Gift Shop”. Mr Brainwash describes how he came up with the idea for ”Art Show 2011″ and how he ended up making ”Art Show 2011″ work. In the video Mr Brainwash details “Art Show 2011″ and its genesis by  saying, ”When you really want something in life, you make it happen, and it will happen.” The overall project and the work that went into organizing it speaks to the message within all of Mr Brainwash’s art; the need to believe.

Mr Brainwash opens his much anticipated 80,000sqft. exhibition in Los Angeles this week. Mr Brainwash has titled the show Art Show 2011, and features works by Mr Brainwash that the artist has said will not be for sale, and actually destroyed at the end of the exhibition. This will be largest art undertaking for Mr Brainwash since his debut show “Life is Beautiful”, which also took place in Los Angeles, and arguably brought Mr Brainwash into the view of the art world.

Cover Girl by Mr Brainwash has become one of the works most identifiable with the artist’s oeuvre. The choice to print this particular image on newprint resonates with the image itself. Mr Brainwash brings the influence that the print medium has had on Kate Moss’s career to life in the Cover Girl edition. Newspapers have both celebrated and ridiculed Kate Moss, yet she continues to adorn the covers of newspapers and magazines. The ephemeral nature of newsprint is embodied within Cover Girl as its illustrates just how quickly today’s big story becomes yesterday’s news. In the case of Kate Moss, scandals from one week become shadowed by the model’s newest fashion campaign. Cyclically new rises and falls, Kate Moss as Mr Brainwash’s focus in Cover Girl speaks to this idea of news and the print medium as being temporary. In the case of Moss she continues to be a “cover girl” not making one-off appearances on the front of magazines and newspapers but rather consistently being featured on their covers, despite any negative or positive news. In Cover Girl, Mr Brainwash recognizes the power of the model’s celebrity and her ability to weather any media storm and maintain her position as a “cover girl”.
